Want to sew some pants you love? Want to learn to sew some pants? Amy and I made another All Well sewing pattern: Studio Pants!

The Studio Pants are an easy-tapered ankle-length pant with two elastic waistband variations and optional patch pockets.

Maybe you’ve never sewn pants before! Maybe you’ve sewn quite a few pairs! This pattern is appropriate for beginners and advanced sewists and everyone in between – with full adjustment and fitting instructions, along with detailed diagrams and all our most helpful sewing tips. If you've felt nervous about sewing pants before and want to be guided through the process, this pattern is really for you – our instructions for making a muslin and making any needed fit adjustments will help you practice the process of sewing pants and help you feel confident in what you're making!

Flat Front or Elastic Waist? Big Square-ish Pockets or Diagonal Pockets?

Mix and match the variations and use different fabrics to make your Studio Pants feel just how you like. Linen feels so dreamy and denim feels so everyday and canvas is excellent for doing physical work (shaping clay? painting? sawing wood? volunteering at the polls?) and corduroy is like wearing a hug. You can make as many pairs of Studio Pants as you need.

All Well Studio Pants are Pay-What-You-Can!

It’s up to you whether you pay $0, $5, or $10 dollars for the pattern – after a year like this one we wanted everyone to be able to sew some pants, regardless of budget or circumstance. Tell your friends! Everyone needs cool comfy pants!
