In summer 2012, on a walk, Adam and I came across this beautiful slice of tree trunk at a garage sale. Immediately, I knew it had to become a table with Eames style hairpin legs. In my free time, I'd been semi-apprenticing with framebuilder Garth L'Esperance at his Georgetown fabrication shop (I had a burning desire to know exactly how a bicycle frame came together), so I also knew where I could build it.
I picked out materials from the shop's stock stored in the rafters, measured, sketched, bent, sanded, ground on an angle, drill pressed, counter sunk, welded. I love making things come to life exactly like they were imagined.
