Double Union Website

I did the UX and front end design, as well as some of the implementation for http://doubleunion.org, the website for San Francisco's first feminist hackerspace. Working together on the development with Heather Rivers and Lillie Chilen, we quickly sketched out wireframes, wrote and adapted content, and created the look and feel of Double Union's new website.

We chose to build a Ruby on Rails web app so that members could log in to access a variety of web based tools, from accepting new member applications to inventorying and learning about how to use the things in the hackerspace, such as sergers, screenprint materials, 3d printers, and microcontrollers.
